First Saturday of Winter Carnival

Saturday, February 5, 2011 (All day)

10 am: Scouts Pancake Breakfast, Hubbards Fire Hall –  Enjoy pancakes & sausages prepared for you by the Scouts and their helpers.  

9 am: Morning Boot Camp, Aspotogan Trail Head – A great outdoor winter workout. Parking is available at the Aspotogan Heritage Trust Building. Cost is a donation to the Hubbards and Area Food Bank. Contact: Amber Nauss 823-1260 or amber@tuffitout.ca  

11 am: Puppet Show, Shatford Library – Enjoy the fun and a few treats - Contact: Library 857-9176

1 pm: HARA’S Amazing Race, Hubbards Recreation Centre – Teams of four compete in a community race, modeled after the hit TV show.  Fee: $8 per team, limit of 6 teams so register early!  Register by contacting Justyne Higgins at 857-1066  

6 pm – 1 am: Mardi Gras Dinner, Dance and Auction, Black Point Fire Hall – Hubbards & Area Business Association (HABA) – Ron MacIsaac’s Hip of Beef.  Live music all evening. Tickets $25/person (advanced purchase only).  Available at Lola’s Landing 858-LOLA (858-5652), Trellis Café
